We will pick you up upon your arrival in Lima and transfer to your selected hotel. You will then have a free day for personal activities. You will stay overnight in Lima.
Tday you will visit the enchantments of colonial Lima: the Main Square located up to now in the same area assigned by Francisco Pizarro, founder of Lima in 1535, the Cathedral, the Government Palace, we recommended you to attend the change of guard (daily at 11:45), the San Francisco Monastery, with its beautiful cloister and entrance, as well as the underground galleries or catacombs which were used as cemeteries during the Colony Period, traditional districts with their own enchantments like the Stone Bridge, the Alameda de los Delcalzos, the Paseo de Aguas and the famous Acho Bullring. We will appreciate then the Huaca Huallamarca, which was a Pre-inka worship and ceremonial center. Then you will travel back to the XX century visiting modern districts with beautiful squares, as well as Miraflores with its beautiful beaches, intensive commercial trading and active nightlife. You will visit the Park of Love where there stands a big sculpture representing a "Couple of Andean lovers" facing the Pacific Ocean.
Early in the morning we will transfer you back to the airport for your flight to Cusco. Upon arrival we will transfer you to the hotel. You will
have a free morning to rest and acclimatize to the alltitude. In the afternoon we will take you on a city tour of cusco visiting the Main Square, the Cathedral and the Temple of the Sun or Korikancha. We will have a pleasant walk in the bohemian district of San Blas, where you will find the most famous arts and crafts of Cusco. We will visit its beautiful church to admire its impressive carved wooden pulpit, with images of local fruits and carved filigree. After we will visit some art shops in the small square of San Blas. We will then return to the centre of Cusco, we will go down the street 'Hatunrumiyoc' which has the famous Twelve-angled stone. Then we will leave the city to visit the Inka sites of Kenko, Tambomachay, Puca Pucara and the impressive fortress of Sacsayhuaman, built strategically on a hill overlooking Cusco; famous for its enormous carved stones joined with astounding precision to form the outer walls. Some of these stones stand over 9m / 30ft tall and weight over 350 tons. You will have a free night to yourself.
The day starts with an early morning transfer to Cusco train station for a four hour train journey to the famous Inka City of Machu Picchu, also known as "The Lost City of the inkas". You will arrive at Aguas Calientes station and to follow will be a 30 minute bus drive, climbing 6km of winding roads untill you reach the incredible Machu Picchu. Upon arrival, we´ll participate in a guided tour of the City, visiting the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Sun Dial, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and various burial grounds. After the tour you will have time to stroll around the archaeological site at your leisure. We will then take the bus back to Aguas calientes for lunch and then take an afternoon train back to Cusco and then transfer you back to your hotel.
At fixed time me will transfer you from your hotel to the bus station for your departure to Puno. Upon your arrival we will transfer you to your selected hotel. You will have a free night for personal activities.
At about 6:30am (Peruvian time) we will transport you by bus from your hotel to La Paz accompanied by a skilled guide during the whole tour. You will visit typical towns like Juli, Pomata, Yunguyo, Casani and Copacabana on the way in to Bolivia. You will then visit the Cathedral and the Main Square. You will board the Catamaran Cruise ship (lunch included). You will sail through lake Titikaka to visit the famous Sun Island, the Garden and the Inka time terraces. We will cross through the Tikina´s strait to arrive at Chua harbor where we will take the bus to go to your selected hotel in La Paz. You will arrive at 18:30 (Bolivian time). You will have a free night for personal activities.
In the morning we will take a tour of La Paz (3800 meters above sea level). You will visit its typical craft market, the San Francisco colonial church, witchcraft market, Murillo Square where we will find the Government Palace, the Cathedral and the National Congress located on Jaen Street with 4 interesting museums followed by the Tiwanaku culture open air museum. Then we will visit the residential zones of Obrajes, Colocoto and La Florida. Finally, you will visit the "Valle de la Luna" (Moon Valley). You will then have a free afternoon. At night, we suggest you enjoy the folkloric show to appreciate the local typical dances and colorful costumes.
In the morning, we will visit the Tiwanaku Ruins, the capital of a civilization that appeared around the year 700 B.C. located at 72 kms from La Paz city. In its time the capital of Tiwanaku was the biggest of the world considered as the Origin of the American Civilization. These Pre-Inka ruins were the beginning of endless archeological debates about its antiquity. According to the last radio carbon test it was around 1580 years B.C.
In the morning we will pick you up from your hotel to transfer you to the airport to board your international or domestic flight.
