Itinerary

DAY 1: Welcome to Cusco!

• Arrival in Cusco.
• Transfer to the hotel.
• Free time for acclimatization.
• Evening briefing session for the Inca Trail hike.

DAY 2: Sacred Valley of the Incas

• Pick up from the hotel at 8 a.m.
• Visit El Mirador for views of the Sacred Valley.
• Explore the ruins of Pisac and its handicraft market.
• Lunch at a local Andean restaurant.
• Visit Ollantaytambo and its significant Incan construction.
• Overnight in Ollantaytambo.

Day 3: Short Inca Trail with Hotel

• Pick up from the hotel at 4 a.m.
• Train journey to Km 104.
• Trek to Wiñay Wayna, an Incan site.
• Lunch at the Alpaca Expeditions campsite.
• Hike to the Sun Gate for the first view of Machu Picchu.
• Descend to Machu Picchu, explore, and take a bus to Aguas Calientes.
• Dinner at Indio Feliz.

DAY 4: Visit to Machu Picchu & Return to Cusco

• Early morning bus to Machu Picchu for sunrise.
• Guided tour and free time to explore.
• Optional climb to Huayna Picchu.
• Return to Cusco by train and transfer to the hotel.

DAY 5: Rainbow Mountain

• Pick up for the Rainbow Mountain hike at 4 – 4:30 am.
• Breakfast at the trailhead.
• Hike uphill to Rainbow Mountain.
• Explore the summit and Red Valley.
• Descent and lunch.
• Return to Cusco by 4:30 – 5:30 pm.

DAY 6: CUSCO – PUNO BUS

• Early pick-up for a full-day bus ride to Puno.
• Stops at Inca and pre-Inca ruins.

DAY 7: Lake Titicaca and Homestay in Amantani Island

• Boat ride to Uros floating islands.

DAY 8: Taquile Island & Return to Puno

• Boat to Taquile Island.
