Important Information for International Guests

Tax Exemption – Hotel Stays in Peru

Foreign visitors and non-resident Peruvian passengers are exempt from Peru’s General Sales Tax (IGV).
To benefit from this exemption, all guests must present:

• Original passport, and

• Andean Migration Card (TAM) at each hotel check-in.

Citizens from Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Bolivia, and Chile may present a passport or national ID card.
Note: Entry into Peru must not exceed 60 days before check-in to qualify for tax exemption.

Program Itinerary & Operational Adjustments

The order of excursions, departure times, and logistics may vary due to operational requirements, weather conditions, aviation protocols, or local authorities.
All times indicated in the itinerary are approximate and will be reconfirmed by our operations team at each destination.

Any personal expenses or services not explicitly stated as included in the itinerary will be at the traveler’s responsibility.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

1. Services

• Cancellations within 90 days prior to departure: 100% penalty (no refunds).

• Cancellations between 91 and 150 days prior: 50% penalty.

• Cancellations 151 days or more before departure: 35% administrative fee.

Once the package is confirmed, any modifications or date changes are subject to a 35% administrative fee, plus any fare or rate differences for new requested dates.

Certain services may be interrupted or canceled due to weather, natural events, or operational restrictions.
No refunds will be issued for events beyond the control of Machupicchu Trek or its providers.

2. Transportation – Airlines, Luxury Trains & Private Charters

Refunds, name changes, date changes, or any modifications related to:

• Private charter flights

• Domestic flights

• Train services (including Hiram Bingham)

• Ground transport or tourism vehicles

are subject to the specific terms and policies of each transportation provider.
