Itinerary
Embark on a captivating journey to the Rainbow Mountain with Machu Picchu Trek. Our adventure begins with a pickup between 03:00 hrs. – 03:15 hrs, followed by a scenic drive through the South Valley, lasting approximately 3 hours. Our first stop at the Hanchipacha community treats you to a delightful breakfast.
Next, we travel 15 minutes to Quesiuno community (4,326 m / 14,189 ft.), the starting point for our trek to the Rainbow Mountain. The trek, spanning around 3 hours, is a mesmerizing ascent with stunning landscapes featuring alpacas, llamas, the majestic Ausangate Mountain, vibrant red mountains, and traditional local houses.
Upon reaching our destination, the Rainbow Mountains (5,020 m / 16,466 ft.), take your time to explore and capture the breathtaking scenery. We allocate approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on trekking speed and weather conditions.
Following the summit experience, we descend to the trek’s starting point in Quesiuno community, a 2-hour journey. From there, our transportation takes us to Hanchipacha community for a delicious lunch.
