Embark on the Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu, a superb alternative to the Inca Trail, specially designed for adventurous trekkers with a knack for higher altitudes and extended distances. The climb to the iconic Salkantay Pass (4,630 m / 15,190 ft) is moderately challenging, with a gentle ascent at the trek’s commencement.
