Tour Description

We will leave the city in the direction of Challacancha, where we will begin our hike. We will explore the magical Humantay Lake and appreciate its beautiful turquoise waters. Afterward, we will enjoy a rest in our exclusive Sky Camp.

On the second day, we will reach the summit of the Salkantay Pass, the second-largest snow-capped mountain in the Cusco region. It is a real challenge that will be well worth the effort. Next, we will walk through the cloud forest and witness the diverse flora and fauna of the area. Then, we will enjoy the experience of resting in our exclusive Mountain Sky View contemplating the stars. The next day, we will learn about the coffee-making process and sleep in the Jungle Domes.

On the fourth day, we will hike to the archaeological site of Llactapata, where you can see the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu in the distance. Then, we will descend to Hidroelectrica, and you can choose to board a train or continue walking to Aguas Calientes for the night. The next morning, we will visit Chachabamba, Wiñay Wayna, and the Sun Gate. In addition, we will witness the majestic Machu Picchu and learn about its incredible history. Finally, we will board the train to Ollantaytambo, where private transportation will be waiting for us to return to Cusco.

Itinerary

**DAY 01**
**Cusco | Mollepata – Challacancha – Soraypampa – Humantay Lake – Sky Camp**

Departing Cusco early in the morning, we journey to Mollepata for a hearty breakfast. From there, we continue to Challacancha, the starting point of our trek. The day unfolds with an exploration of the enchanting Humantay Lake. In the evening, a delicious dinner awaits, and we settle in for the night at our Sky Camp in Soraypampa.

**DAY 02**
**Soraypampa – Salkantay Pass – Huayracmachay – Chaullay – Collpapampa**

An early breakfast precedes our ascent to the Salkantay Pass, the highest point of the trek. Descending to Huayracmachay, we enjoy lunch before journeying through the cloud forest to reach Collpapampa. Here, we rest in the comfort of our Mountain Sky View camp.

**DAY 03**
**Collpapampa – La Playa – Lucmabamba (Jungle Domes)**

Starting our hike to Collpapampa, we reach this destination by morning. After lunch in La Playa, we visit a coffee farm to discover the coffee-making process. In the evening, we head to Lucmabamba, where a delightful dinner awaits in our exclusive Jungle Domes.

**DAY 04**
**Lucmabamba – Llactapata – Hidroelectrica – Aguas Calientes**

Ascending to the Llactapata archaeological site, we proceed to Aobamba and enjoy lunch. The journey continues to Hidroeléctrica, where you can choose to take a train or continue on foot to Aguas Calientes. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel await.

**DAY 05**
**Aguas Calientes – KM 104 – Chachabamba – Sun Gate / Inti Punku – Machu Picchu – Aguas Calientes**

Embarking on a walk to KM 104, the Inca Trail’s starting point, we visit Chachabamba and Wiñay Wayna. The adventure leads to the Sun Gate, where Machu Picchu unveils its splendor. Afterward, we return to Aguas Calientes for a hotel stay.

**DAY 06**
**Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Ollantaytambo – Cusco**

The highly anticipated day has arrived. We take a bus to Machu Picchu, explore the ancient citadel with our guide, and then return to Aguas Calientes to catch the train to Ollantaytambo. Private transportation completes our journey back to Cusco.
