This incredible journey unfolds as an awe-inspiring hike to Machu Picchu, leading you through the verdant landscapes of the Peruvian Andes, adorned with glacier peaks, pristine lagoons, meandering rivers, enchanting cloud forests, Inca sites, and traditional villages. The pinnacle of this adventure is the exhilarating arrival at Machu Picchu through the legendary Sun Gate, the crowning glory after six days of invigorating activity.

The first four days take you off the beaten path in the Salkantay region, where the beauty of the Andes reveals itself with fewer crowds. While this route differs from the classic Salkantay trail, it converges with the Inca Trail on the fourth day, ensuring a unique and less-traveled experience throughout. The transition to the classic Inca Trail on day four brings you in proximity to the initial campsite, setting the stage for the iconic trek to Machu Picchu.

This fusion of the Salkantay and Inca Trail offers a comprehensive hiking encounter, presenting breathtaking landscapes along the entire route. Marvel at the stunning views of the Salkantay and Humantay glacier peaks, each campsite providing a unique vantage point. The second campsite at Ichupata, nestled at the highest altitude and closest to the Salkantay mountains, invites you to indulge in stargazing, creating magical moments under the Andean night sky.

Embark on this extraordinary 6-day expedition, where the fusion of Salkantay and Inca Trail promises a complete and immersive hiking experience, capturing the essence of the Andean wonders in every step.
